These Molten Drops hoop earrings feature a polished sterling silver hoop with a single molten silver drop suspended below. Each drop is formed by melting down scrap silver, then refined and assembled by hand in the UK.
The simple hoop contrasts with the irregular drop, giving subtle movement and a quietly distinctive finish. Each pair is individually made, so small variations in the molten drop are part of the design.
Each piece is designed and made by hand by Jenny Holdsworth, a UK-based silversmith working in sterling silver and gold.

Materials
All silver used is sterling silver (925) with some Argentium (935) and fine silver (999).
Where items are finished in Gold Vermeil, a thick plate of real gold is bonded to the finished silver item. Yellow gold is at 24ct purity and rose gold is at 18ct purity. Learn more about gold vermeil here.

Every piece is designed and made by hand by Jenny Holdsworth, a UK-based silversmith with a BA(Hons) in Silversmithing and Jewellery. The work is made in her Hampshire studio using traditional techniques, produced in small batches or as individual pieces.
