Circle Pendant Necklace Yellow Gold

A simple circle pendant made from sterling silver and finished in rich yellow gold vermeil, suspended on a silver chain. The circle is textured by hand using a specially modified hammer, creating a subtle, irregular surface that catches the light softly rather than shining brightly. The design is pared back and balanced, intended to be worn easily every day.

About the design

This pendant is part of a wider series exploring circular forms and repeated surface texture. The hammered finish is consistent across the collection, but each mark is placed by hand, giving every piece slight variation and character. Care is taken with the depth and direction of the texture so the surface reflects light gently.

Materials and finish

The pendant is made from sterling silver and finished in yellow gold vermeil. A thick layer of 24 carat yellow gold is bonded to the silver, creating a warm, durable finish that retains the strength of the underlying metal while offering the look of solid gold. 

How it is made

Each pendant is designed and made by hand by silversmith Jenny Holdsworth in her Hampshire studio. The circles are made from wire and are produced in small batches or as individual works, allowing close attention to proportion, finish and detail throughout the making process.

Wearing and styling

Designed to be worn on its own for a minimal look, or layered with other necklaces of different lengths for a contemporary, understated style.
